Immediate Oxygen in Primary Care

Standard delivery is within 3 working days, but urgent delivery is possible within 4 hours.

Complete the Initial Home Oxygen Risk Mitigation Form (IHORM) and Home Oxygen Consent Consent Form (HOCF) if a new patient.
Complete HOOF A form and send to provider (Dolby Vivisol).

If oxygen saturations <85% at rest and NOT an acute exacerbation

Order an oxygen concentrator with nasal cannulae 2litres/minute (to avoid risk of CO2 retention).
If an acute deterioration it may be better to admit or reassess after 48 hours of treatment prior to ordering oxygen delivery.

If oxygen saturations <80% and acutely unwell
